Graduation from the University of Alabama
On May 2nd, Sophia graduated from the University of Alabama with a BFA in Acting and a Vocal Performance minor. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with above a 4.0 GPA. She also served as the Vice President of Crimson Stage throughout her time at UA. She was involved in various clubs and served as a vocalist on her church's worship team.

Imposter Devised Performance
In April, Sophia performed two newly written pieces for the University of North Alabama. She was involved in the devising of getting the work on its feet and helped lead students in Chekhov based workshops. She has also been working on devising her own piece centered around the loss of one's intended future.


New York Showcase
In March, Sophia had the opportunity to perform in a showcase alongside her BFA class for New York agents, managers, and casting directors. She performed a dramatic monologue from Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, as well as two scenes from Cruel Summer and Matt and Ben.
UA Theatre and Dance:
The Crucible
This Fall, Sophia performed in UA's mainstage production of The Crucible. She portrayed Susanna Walcott, and was the Abigail understudy. Directed by Kelley Schoger, Sophia loved learning more about classical text and movement-based approaches to character work.


Circle Mirror Transformation
In September, Sophia performed in UA's production of Circle Mirror Transformation where she portrayed Marty. Directed by graduate student Lexi McKay, Sophia very much enjoyed exploring a character quite older than herself, as well as sharing the truth behind actor's thoughts and exercises with unsuspecting audiences.

Mirage
Sophia performed in a Supporting role in a short film directed by UA student Savannah Slater. Following a college student struggling with an alcohol addiction, Sophia portrayed a close friend who encouraged her to seek help. Sophia loved gaining more experience on set and working with fellow BFA actors to bring this important and relevant story to life.

UA Student Film:
Sixty-Five
Sophia portrayed a Lead role in a short film directed by UA Student Alyssa Cherney. The story follows a college student managing cystic fibrosis and how to confide in her partner about her treatments. Sophia loved working with the kind crew and was honored the director trusted her to bring this vulnerable character to life.
